Buyback Point buys used electronics at 1879 W Flagler St. You can get a price online and mail your device in, like you would anywhere else. Or you can walk through the door, put the thing on the counter, watch us test it, and leave with cash. Most places only offer one of those.
Why we exist
Everyone has done it. You find a price online, mail off a phone you own outright, and then wait. A week later an email arrives saying the device wasn't what you said it was and here's a lower number, with no explanation of what changed. You accept it because the alternative is another week of waiting.
The other option is a marketplace listing, which means strangers, lowball messages and meeting someone in a parking lot to hand over a phone worth hundreds of dollars.
We built Buyback Point to be the third option: an honest number up front, a physical place you can come to, and a person who will show you exactly what the test found. Everything else on this site follows from that. Written grading rules instead of vague phrases. $10 returns if you don't like a revised offer. A second opinion if you think we got it wrong, at no cost. No fee of any kind, ever.
Pricing
It isn't a trick and it isn't a promotional rate that quietly disappears. Three plain reasons.
The large mail-in buyers all funnel stock through the same handful of channels, so they all end up bidding against the same ceiling. We don't, which means a device that's worth an average number to them is often worth more to us. That difference goes into the offer.
One store, a small team, no national advertising budget and no call center. A mail-in operation spends a large share of every device's value on marketing and logistics before it ever gets to the seller. We spend far less, so there's more left for you.
No prepaid label, no packaging, no inbound freight, no inspection queue, no return shipping. A device handed over the counter skips every one of those costs, and that saving shows up in what we hand back.
Cracked, water damaged, dead, obsolete, missing parts. Sites that only want clean current models have to price conservatively for everything. We take the whole range, so we can price each thing for what it actually is.
What we stand for
Describe it accurately and that's what you get paid. If we ever need to change an offer, you get the reason in writing and a free way out.
Grading works in both directions. If your device comes in cleaner than you said, we raise the offer without being asked.
No inspection fee, no handling fee, no return fee, no restocking fee. Shipping is free in both directions.
Every device is erased before anything else happens to it, and in store we do it while you watch. Nothing is recoverable afterwards.
We record the serial of everything we buy, we check phones against the blacklist, and we take ID in store as Florida law requires. That protects honest sellers.
If something has no value at all we recycle it free rather than charge you or bin it. See recycling.
The store
We're on West Flagler, in the middle of Little Havana, a few minutes from downtown and easy to reach from the 836. Street parking out front, and you can be in and out in about ten minutes with a phone.
The counter is set up so you can see what we're doing. The diagnostics are on a screen facing you, the wipe happens in front of you, and if we knock a device down a grade we'll show you the mark we found and the test that failed.
You don't need an appointment and you don't need to have used the website first. Bring the device, the charger and box if you still have them, and a photo ID.
